Bricsnet Achieves SAS 70 Type II Audit for Fourth Consecutive Year

Audit demonstrates software vendorâ??s commitment to meeting the accounting industry's most stringent requirements for quality and security of services

San Francisco - November 13, 2009 - Bricsnet, a leading provider of Integrated Workplace Management software solutions, announced today that it has completed a Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II Audit. SAS 70 is the internationally recognized authoritative guidance, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format.
For publicly traded companies that utilize service providers such as Bricsnet, a SAS 70 Type II audit of those service providers is needed to demonstrate compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The Type II audit documents operational effectiveness of the service provider's controls during a testing period.
The completion of the SAS 70 Type II audit represents Bricsnet's continued commitment to create and maintain the most stringent controls needed to ensure the highest quality and security of services provided to their customers. The Service Auditors' Report issued by Accell, P.A., a PCAOB-licensed CPA and consulting firm that specializes in conducting SAS 70 audits, demonstrates that Bricsnetâ??s control objectives and activities were effectively designed and in operation throughout the reporting period. The report was issued with an "unqualified" opinion, meaning that all control objectives were achieved.
